Merlon's Advisory Board is independent of the investment team, and brings experience across financial services, energy and resources, retailing, property, listed company boards and audit. Its members meet with the investment committee ten times a year, and review and advise on Merlon's formal written communications with the boards of the companies it owns — including each company's investment thesis and the ESG issues raised.
Merlon's investment team may initiate a position at up to half its maximum permitted weight at its own discretion, and seeks Advisory Board review before increasing it beyond that.
